As a child I was always fascinated by the art so when I left school I decided to study beauty therapy for a year to make a start in the industry. After this I realised how important it would be to get some design experience behind me so I went on to study design, including fashion and interior design. With my design courses completed, I decided it was time to go to London to further my knowledge of make-up. In London I studied fashion, photographic make-up and media make-up at the London School of Beauty and Make-up, where I also studied airbrush make-up and body painting.

I set up AY Make-up in 2006, knowing my combination of training, professional experience and knowledge gives me the skills, the edge and the ability to produce creative and individual designs. From classic to contemporary, through to retro and period such as geisha and 1960's styles. The most important objective in my work my creativity to enhance your natural beauty, but also your inner beauty and individuality.
